NEW ORLEANS- On January 22, 2010 the New Orleans creative and tech community came together with leaders of the Haitian New Orleanian community to create technological tools that will connect people to the relief efforts in Haiti.
The Causemoplitian.com, GNO, Code and evacuteer.org hosted the event, called CrisisCampNOLA. Crisis Camps have been happening all over the United States and the world. They bring technical and creative people together to create open source and useful technological platforms for the Haitian relief effort.
In New Orleans, leaders identified that there needed to be a way for Haitian New Orleanians to communicate and post updates about their rescue and recovery effort as it relates to their stories.
In seven hours, 20 talented volunteers launched www.neworleanshaitir.org to fill that role.
Here are some photos from that event.

Is there anyway to set up a way to donate on the website straight to one of the churches?
